We are looking for Female Support Workers to support 2 ladies in their own bungalow in Christchurch on a part or full time basis on day shifts and for sleep in shifts and every other weekend
Both ladies have learning disabilities and minor physical disabilities.
One of the ladies has downs-syndrome as well as learning disabilities. She can communicate verbally using some key words that she knows. She really enjoys socialising, drinking tea and coffee, having treats and has a real drive for enjoying her life and so she needs someone to support her to do this by taking her to the activities she enjoys, supporting her with personal care needs, getting dressed and supporting her to learn new skills.
The other lady is non-verbal, has very limited mobility and requires a wheelchair / walking frame. This lady needs a lot of sensory stimulation in her life and so enjoys playing with sensory toys but also really enjoys going out to various activities such as sailing, swimming, and horse-carriage riding.
Both ladies are supported by a well-established team of staff who have known them for many years. The team are very warming, welcoming and knowledgeable and would be a great support to someone who is new to care or new to supporting these ladies.
