As a member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to have a great life. You will not just care for them; you will support them to achieve their goals, and that can bring enormous job satisfaction.
In Garboldisham, we’re supporting one lady aged in her 30's to live independently in her bungalow. She is happy and engaged in meaningful activities such as swimming, bowling, shopping, and going for long walks. She often enjoys exploring Thetford, Diss and Bury St Edmunds and when at home, she often likes to relax and unwind by watching films and having pamper days. So, if you enjoy face masks, nail painting and foot spas, why not apply today!
Your role as a Support Worker can include supporting her with medication, supporting with her housework, to shop for things she wishes to buy including her clothes and food. As a Support Worker you would be expected to support, encourage, and teach people to maintain personal and intimate care as required, such as dressing, showering/bathing etc.
The support provided is 2:1. It is essential that all shortlisted applicants can work as part of a team and can develop positive working relationships with all those involved with Dimensions – including those we support, families, carers, internal colleagues, and external agencies.
