About the Role:

We're looking for a fun, enthusiastic, and compassionate Support Worker to join our dynamic team and support three incredible young adults aged between 18-30. These young individuals love to immerse themselves in a variety of interests, from baking and painting to arts and crafts. They have a love life and enjoy getting out and about, whether it's attending day centres, dance classes, or arts and crafts sessions.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Spend your days baking, painting, and crafting alongside the people we support.
  • Accompany them to fun outings like bowling, cinema trips, and swimming (you'll need to get in the pool with them!).
  • Support them as they start their gym journey and help them stay active.
  • Provide gentle prompting with personal care tasks, including washing their hair.
  • Help with balance guidance, handholding during outings, and pushing a wheelchair into a mobility vehicle.
  • Get involved in meal planning and preparation to ensure nutritious meals.
  • Use Makaton for effective communication (training provided if needed).

  • Driver Essential: Must have a valid driver's license to drive the mobility cars at the home.
  • Empathy and Patience: A caring nature to support individuals with sight and hearing challenges.
  • Energy and Enthusiasm: Ready to join in on a variety of activities and outings.
  • Flexibility: Available to work both day and evening shifts as needed.

Why Join Us?

  • Training Opportunities: Enhance your skills with Makaton training and other professional development.
  • Supportive Environment: Be part of a friendly and supportive team that values your contributions.
  • Rewarding Work: Make a real difference in the lives of young adults, helping them enjoy life to the fullest.
