Finance Auditor - 12 months fixed term

We are looking to recruit a Finance Auditor to undertake financial audits in people we supports home and other activities in support of the Head of Financial Accounting ( HFA). To minimise financial risk by ensuring that Regional Operational colleagues follow the company’s Managing Peoples’ Money policy.

Regular travel will be required to The Midlands. South Yorkshire, and North East Regions and we would recommend any applicants who applies lives in one of the regions..

Three days you will be visiting colleague’s homes and 2 days working from home. Some weeks this will vary.

Interviews will take place via Microsoft teams on the 13th December.

About the role 

Your main duties will include: 

  • Ensure completion of financial audits of all services on as a minimum three - yearly basis.
  • To work with operational managers to improve their understanding of financial support requirements and the importance of ensuring these are adhered to.
  • Recommending changes to finance policies where operational model has varied.
  • Ensure Locality Managers are following company policies and procedures as set down in the Managing Peoples Money policy and Corporate Policies document.

About you

The successful applicant will have: 

  • The ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel at a basic level
  • Experience of reviewing financial data, identifying errors
  • Knowledge and a good understanding of accounting procedures & techniques
  • The ability to communicate effectively (both in writing and verbally) at all levels
