Are you experienced in supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, behaviours of distress and complex needs? Are you ready to take the next step in your career and lead by example?

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team in Rufforth as the Lead Support Worker, where you will have access to an excellent training programme, strong career progression and the opportunity to deliver outstanding support through our unique ‘Activate’ model. This model is proven to make a measurable difference to people’s lives and your professional satisfaction.

We’re currently supporting a young gentleman in his own home who enjoys walking, cycling, swimming, listening to music and spending time with his family. He loves being around people who are fun, energetic and optimistic so a positive can-do attitude is essential.

Your role will be to support this young man to live the life he chooses. On a day-to-day basis you will be supporting with meal preparation, medication administration, grocery shopping and household tasks including cooking, cleaning and laundry. He also owns a dog so it’s important that you like dogs and you can support him with all aspects of caring for his furry friend.

As Lead Support Worker you will work closely with the Locality Manager and the Assistant Locality Manager to coach and mentor Support Workers and Relief Support Workers, to ensure this young man is receiving outstanding person-centred care. You will be responsible for helping to promote a culture within the team that every moment has potential and is an opportunity to improve this young man’s life.

Shifts start at 9am and finish at 23:00 with a sleepover shift included from 23:00 and 8am. There are also day shifts starting at 9am and finishing at 16:30. We’re looking for people who can work a combination of shifts across weekdays, weekends and your share of the bank holidays. At Dimensions, we value work / life balance and as such, you will receive your rota 4 weeks in advance.

For further information about the role, please contact Ben on 07957 002 107.
