Support Worker Bridgend

If you're a calm, compassionate, and caring person who's also a dyed-in-the-woolen-scarf Whovian and/or a passionate Potterhead searching for a new, richly rewarding and meaningful role with no costly, time-consuming commutes and all the support you'll need to excel, then look no further than joining us as a Support Worker in Bridgend. Here you'll be helping us support four gentlemen who love everything Harry Potter and Dr. Who, being outdoors, music, swimming, and going on holidays.  At Dimensions, we can help you pursue your passion for caring by magically transfigurating what most would consider an ordinary job into an extraordinary, lifelong, life-changing career!

About the role

At Dimensions, we're looking for upbeat, ambitious, and inspiring people to join our team of Support Workers based in Bridgend. Here, we support four gentlemen in their own home. Each have their own personalised support plan and their own dreams, ambitions and hobbies (in particular Dr. Who and Harry Potter!) but all enjoy being outdoors, arts and crafts, and sensory activities, gardening and muchmore.  It's important to note that  the gentlemen may demonstrate behaviours of distress, and some have epilepsy.

You'll be required to

  • Encourage and empower the gentlemen we support so that they may live their best lives - the lives that they choose. You'll achieve this by being actively - and enthusiastically - involved in every aspect of their daily lives
  • Respectfully provide intimate personal care, prompting and mobility assistance when required
  • Safeguard the people we support so that they are always happy, comfortable, and that their environments are clean, sanitary and safe.
  • Write and maintain written records, i.e., observation logs, risk assessments, etc.

Shift patterns will vary around the people we support. The main shift patterns are 8am - 3pm, 3pm - 9/10pm, alternative weekends and at least one sleep in per week.
