Support Worker Hythe

We are looking for thoughtful, caring and inspiring people to join our team of support workers in Hythe, Kent. Dimensions provide life changing support to people with learning disabilities and autism throughout England and Wales.  We often find great talent from retail, cleaning and hospitality backgrounds, but no matter what your experience, we want to hear from you.  This is your opportunity to start a career where you are genuinely changing people’s lives and to join an award winning team in the process.

Dimensions are supporting one gentleman with cerebral palsy in his own home. He requires personal care and uses a wheelchair and hoists so candidates must be comfortable with physical support. He absolutely loves getting out and about, keeping busy and trying new things. He loves visiting the pub (his favourite drink is a Guinness!) and it's really important that his team of support workers are proactive in keeping him busy and engaged. He does not communicate verbally so candidates must be patient, willing to build a relationship with him and have exceptional drive to keep him occupied.

The team work on a rotational basis and the shifts are 12.5 hours during the day and 12.5 hours overnight (the team do the long day to better support the gentleman and his desire to be out and about). You will be expected to do the occasional waking night shift according to the needs of the rota. A full time contract comprises of 37.5 hours per week and the rate of pay is £9.50 per hour.

For more information about the service and people we support, please contact Emma Twist on 07903550057 or please click apply at the bottom to submit a short application.

Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence to be considered for this position as the gentleman has his own support vehicle which you will be expected to drive

Dimensions is proud to be one of very few social care organisations that are members of the Great Places To Work programme 2019, 2020 & 2021.
