We are looking for a Male Support Worker to join our team!

Part time- 25 hours per week

You will be supporting four gentlemen aged between 31 and 57 within a supported living service in North Hykeham.

You will also work an alternate weekend with a gentleman in outreach on a part time basis in Lincoln (25 hrs per week ).

You will be enthusiastic, a good motivator, have a good sense of humour and will be able to use your initiative, you will be expected to work as part of an established team and there may be some aspects of lone working at times. You will work as part of a four week rolling rota, which includes a variety of shifts including morning, afternoon, evenings and sleep-ins, this will include weekends.

The people we support are looking for someone to support them with all aspects of their lives including personal care, cooking, cleaning tasks, shopping, attending appointments, administering medication and attending social activities. The people we support enjoy walking, going to the park, swimming, visiting the pub and days out to the coast.

There is no direct moving and handling within this service, however, you will be required to carry out some lifting tasks such as carrying shopping and putting wheelie bins out, you will also be required to push a wheelchair at times.

There is an expectation to complete training on-line using the ‘Learning Connect’ system. There is also an expectation that you will be confident in using a tablet/laptop as all of our compliance and daily records are on-line.

The ideal candidate will be a driver as the people we support have their own vehicle and you will be expected to drive this as part of your role.
