Part Time / 16-32 Hours
Darlington
Driver Is Essential

Do you consider yourself to be a thoughtful, patient and encouraging person? Do you want to provide life changing support to people with learning disabilities and autism in the Darlington area? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

About the role

We are looking for male Support Workers to join our friendly team in Darlington where we have a range of part-time contracts available from 16-32 hours per week.

You will be supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism with daily living tasks such as personal care, laundry, meal preparation and medication administration and also assisting them to participate in the activities they enjoy, which could include walking, going for drives in the car, sensory activities and maintaining relationships with the people they care about.

Shifts can vary depending on the person you are supporting but we’re ultimately looking for people who are able to work a range of shifts on a flexible working rota that covers days, nights, weekends and a share of bank holidays.

We recruit based on values so whilst previous experience is always welcome, it’s certainly not essential. Full training and support are provided to enable you to succeed in your role and to obtain any qualifications that may be required.

To be considered for this opportunity you need to hold a full UK / EU driving licence.

"Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010."
