Join Our Team as a Support Worker in Worcester!
Location: Worcester, WR2 (Just a 18 min walk from Worcester Foregate Street Train Station)
Pay Rate: £12 per hour (+ £50 per Sleep-In Shift)
Position: Part-Time (35 hours per week)
Shifts: Day shifts, long days, and sleep-in shifts available!

Who Will You Be Supporting?

You'll be working in a home shared by four remarkable individuals aged 40-70, including two gentlemen and two ladies who have learning disabilities and autism. Here’s a little more about them:

  • Two Ladies: Both are visually impaired but lead active and fulfilling lives, always up for new experiences.
  • Gentleman with Epilepsy: His condition is well-controlled with medication.
  • Communication: Three of the individuals don’t use words to communicate but express themselves through sounds, expressions, and gestures. They make their needs known in their own unique ways, and we need someone who will take the time to understand them.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Support Worker, you’ll be playing a key role in empowering independence and providing meaningful support. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Daily Living Support: Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and administering medications, including epilepsy care.
  • Personal Care: Support with full personal care as required.
  • Activity Engagement: Encourage and participate in their favorite activities, from massages, manicures, and board games to sensory experiences like relaxing on the water bed.
  • Social Opportunities: Help arrange and attend social events like theatre trips, parties, and meals out, ensuring everyone can enjoy the experiences they love.
  • Swimming Support: Get ready to join them in the pool! Swimming is a big part of their routine, and they’ll need support staff who can confidently participate.
  • Exploration and Interests: Help them explore new opportunities, places, and interests, keeping their days exciting and fulfilling.

Shift Patterns

  • Day Shifts: 8am - 4pm or 1pm - 9pm
  • Long Days: 8am - 9pm
  • Sleep-In Shifts: 10pm - 7:30am (Paid to Sleep)

Rotas are provided in advance to support a healthy work-life balance.
