Support Worker

£9.15 per hour

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Full UK driving licence essential

Sheffield, S12

Are you committed to supporting others to live the lives they choose? It takes empathy, compassion and commitment to be an outstanding Support Worker – if you have these qualities already, we’ll provide you with all of the training you need to set you up for a fantastic career in social care!

We’re currently supporting a fabulous gentleman in his 60s in the S12 area of Sheffield. He has a learning disability, autism, requires support with his mental health and can display behaviour that others may find challenging. We’re looking for kind, friendly, patient and resilient people to join his team on a full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

Your role is to support him to live the life he chooses, which includes engaging in the activities he enjoys. He loves going to the local shops, going for drives in the countryside and walking. He’s also really into his garden and loves animals so enjoys going to the zoo and petting farms.

He requires full support with his personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, grocery shopping and household tasks including cooking, cleaning and laundry. He has his own Motability vehicle so whilst you don’t need your own car, it’s important that you have a full UK driving licence and are over the age of 25 for insurance purposes.

Full training and support are provided, so whilst experience is always welcome, it’s certainly not essential. What’s more important to us, is that your values are aligned with ours - ambition, courage, integrity, partnership and respect.

Day shifts are 8am – 8pm and waking nights are 8pm – 8am. Support is two to one during the day and one to one at night. We’re looking for people who can work flexibly on the rota working a combination of these shifts across weekdays, weekends and your share of bank holidays. At Dimensions, we value a healthy work / life balance so you will receive your rota 4 weeks in advance.

There is driveway parking available for staff cars and good public transport links.
