Support Worker

We are recruiting for Support Workers in Hayling Island on full-time basis, though we will consider part time applicants as well. Whether you have worked in healthcare, mental health, autism, with challenging behaviour or maybe you have a background in retail, cleaning and coaching, this could be the career for you. Dimensions recruit against values and not previous experience.

As a valued support worker, you’ll be helping people you support to live the individual life they want, ensuring they have choice and control over the planning and delivery of their support. We are looking for ambitious individuals of a caring nature to work for an award winning company where we promote independence in a supportive environment.

Dimensions are supporting 2 gentlemen in a lovely bungalow near the seafront in Hayling Island. They both require full support with personal care, some assistance with moving and handling / wheelchair use and both have adapted support vehicles.

For this reason it is desired that applicants hold a full manual UK drivers licence.

Both gentlemen are friendly, outgoing and very sociable. They love going out for drives, meals out, visiting coffee shops, strolls along the seafront and one of them adores musicals and musical theatre. They're very energetic so applicants must be happy to be on the go for the duration of the shift. Shift patterns will include earlies, lates, mids and sleep-ins on a rotational basis. A full time contract is 37.5 hours per week and the rate of pay is £9.12 per hour.

Dimensions is proud to be one of very few social care organisations that are members of the Great Places To Work programme 2019, 2020 and 2021.

The Role will involve

  • Helping people to live the individual life they want
  • Helping people learn the skills they need to live the life they choose
  • Supporting people with their medication
  • Supporting with personal care
  • Encouraging, supporting and teaching to find opportunities in education, employment and leisure.
