Support Worker

Dimensions are a leading care provider in England and Wales, supporting people with autism and learning difficulties and we are recruiting for Support Workers in Aldershot to cover various shifts from full time, part time and relief to suit you.  We offer fantastic benefits, training and a great team environment. We are looking for people who share our company values of Respect, Ambition, Courage, Integrity & Partnership, and can support someone to have the life they want to live. People with learning disabilities and their families are at the heart of everything we do.

In Aldershot we are supporting five people in a Registered Care Home with all aspects of their daily lives. We are actively encouraging and empowering them to become members of the community, cultivating social lives and family connections. They all require support with personal care, moving & assisting, medication administration and meal preparation. All five individuals have their own interests and hobbies which include shopping, going to the cinema, seeing live music and going out for coffee or dinner. Our support team facilitate all of these activities and should be proactive in finding opportunities to build upon existing interests and skill sets of the people being supported.

We work on a rotational basis across a seven day team rota, and shift times usually fall between 7am - 3pm or 2:30pm - 9:30pm, though some adjustments should be expected depending on what the people being supported are doing that day. The team usually cover one sleep in shift per week and will be rota'd for alternate weekends. While we are predominantly looking for full time team members on 37.5 hours per week, we will consider applications from candidates seeking part time contracts and you availability will be discussed at shortlisting. The rate of pay for this role is £9.12 per hour.

To be considered for this opportunity candidates should hold a full UK drivers licence as you will be expected to drive the people we support in a service vehicle.
