Support Worker

We are recruiting for a Support Worker to support an individual gentleman in Dover in a great location with fantastic benefits.  You don’t need experience as full training is given and we offer a great team environment. You will be friendly and approachable and keen to support individuals to have a great life with excellent outcomes. Dimensions are one of the country’s largest not-for-profit organisation supporting people with learning difficulties, autism, challenging behaviour and complex needs and we are driven by our values. People with learning disabilities and their families are at the heart of everything we do.

As a support worker you will support with all daily living tasks including personal care for one gentleman living in his own home. You will also support the gentleman in a variety of activities including going out for meals, visiting local attractions, going for walks and supporting him to maintain relationships with his family. He likes to get out and about so candidates must be proactive and patient, ensuring that he is engaged. He loves to visit parks, gardens / nature reserves, the cinema, the circus or other people we support to socialise. He's a big character and loves to dress up at Christmastime and deliver gifts to other people that we support.

There is some moving and assisting required as the gentleman does use a wheelchair so candidates must be comfortable with supporting in a physical capacity (full training will be provided).  We are hiring for full time, permanent contracts of 37.5 hours per week and the rate of pay is £9.50 per hour.

Candidates must hold a full UK drivers licence as the person we support has his own wheelchair adapted vehicle which you will be expected to drive

Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity, apply today - Dimensions is proud to be one of very few social care organisations that are members of the Great Places To Work programme 2019, 2020 & 2021.
