Dimensions are one of the country’s largest not-for-profit organisations and we are driven by our values. People with learning disabilities and their families are at the heart of everything we do!

We're currently supporting a fabulous lady in her 60s to live the life she wants. She has a profound learning disability and is looking for a kind and compassionate person to join her friendly support team on a part-time basis. You will be providing support with full personal care, meal preparation, medication administration and household tasks such a cooking, cleaning and laundry. She is mobile inside her home but prefers to use a wheelchair when out and about, so there are some manual handling aspects to this role.

In addition to daily routines, your role is to support this lady to engage in the activities, hobbies and interests that are important to her. She enjoys the company of others but equally enjoys her own space. She loves musicals and animated films and enjoys going for drives. She’s also a big foodie and looks forward to weekly catch ups with her sister!

Her shifts are typically 8am – 3pm, 3pm – 10:30pm followed by a sleep-in shift. We're looking for people who can work flexibly on the rota, working a combination of the shifts across the week and at weekends. At Dimensions, we value a healthy work / life balance so you will receive your rota 4 weeks in advance.

Dimensions are also proud to be one of very few social care organisations that have been recognised by the Great Places to Work programme in 2019, 2020 & 2021. As well as a comprehensive induction, full training and continued support from management, our colleagues have access to:

  • 30 days annual leave
  • Paid training
  • A comprehensive well-being strategy and staff listening network
  • Discounts and cash back on shopping worth £500 a year
  • Childcare vouchers
  • £200 bonus for recommending a friend to us if they go on to be successfully employed
  • Discounts on meals, health clubs, and car, home and travel insurance
