Be the difference you want to see in the world - support others to achieve their goals - become a Support Worker!
£10.45 per hour
Part-time, 24 or 32 hours per week
Full UK driving licence essential
We’re currently looking for an experienced Support Worker to join us on a part-time basis, supporting four young men who share a home in Hartlepool. The young men have learning disabilities, a range of communication needs and love computer games, monster trucks, motorbikes, and trains.
Your role will be to support the gentlemen to live their lives as independently as possible, so as well as engaging in the activities and hobbies they enjoy, you will also be providing support with personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, grocery shopping and household tasks such as cooking, cleaning and laundry. Three of the four men have epilepsy so you will receive full person-centred training regarding their conditions and the medication they require.
They all go to college and enjoy being out and about in their shared car, so it’s essential that you have a full UK driving licence and are over the age of 25 for the car insurance purposes.
Shifts can vary but are typically day shifts, waking nights, weekends, and the occasional bank holiday on rota. At Dimensions, we value a healthy work/life balance so you will receive your rota at least 4 weeks in advance.
If you have any further questions and would like to discuss the role in more detail, please call Angie on 07825 403 057.
