The Opportunity

We are currently supporting two females and a male in their 30s and 40s in the DL3 area of Darlington. They each live in their own flat in the same building. We also support one lady in her 40s in the community.

The people we support have learning disabilities, autism and they require support with their emotional and personal safety. They are looking for kind and patient people to join their support teams on a part-time basis, with contracts available for either 16 or 30 hours per week.

Your role will be to support them to achieve their goals, which includes engaging in the activities they enjoy. They currently enjoy walking, listening to a variety of genres of music, going shopping, going to the cinema and eating out.

The ladies are independent in terms of their personal care, but the gentleman requires full support. Both the ladies and the gentleman require support with meal preparation, medication administration, grocery shopping and household tasks including cooking, cleaning and laundry.

The Shifts

Shifts start at 8am one day and finish at 8am the following day with a sleepover shift included. There are also a variety of day shifts depending on what the people we support wish to do each day. These shifts often start at 8/9/10am and finish anywhere between 5 – 9pm. We’re ideally looking for people who can work a combination of shifts on a rota that includes weekdays, weekends and a share of bank holidays. At Dimensions, we value a healthy work / life balance so you will receive your rota at least 4 weeks in advance.

You will receive full training and support and you will have access to opportunities that could further develop your career.

There is free parking available for staff cars and good public transport links.
