Support Worker
£10.56 per hour
Part-time contracts, 15 hours per week+
Warrington, WA4
Do you want to go to work every day knowing that you’re making a difference; knowing that you’re supporting others to live their lives the way they choose?
As a Support Worker at Dimensions, you'll be doing just that!
You will be supporting four gentlemen in their 20s and 40s to live the lives they choose. They enjoy shopping, going to the cinema, going out for meals, walking and bowling. They also love to visit the garden centre and they have a keen interest in trains.
The gentlemen have learning disabilities and downs syndrome, and can sometimes display behaviors of distress. They require support with practical tasks such as their personal care (mixture of prompting and full support), meal preparation, household tasks and medication. One of the gentlemen is also a wheelchair user, so there is some manual handling involved in pushing his wheelchair and assisting him with transfers. As well as supporting them with the practical side of their daily lives, they're looking for people who are empathetic and compassionate to support them with their emotional and mental health needs.
Shifts are 7am – 10pm followed by a sleep in or 2:30pm – 10pm followed by a sleep in. We have part-time contracts available starting at 15 hours per week, up to 30 hours per week. We're looking for people who can work flexibly on the rota, with good availability across the week and at weekends. At Dimensions, we value a healthy work / life balance so you will receive your rota 4 weeks in advance.
There is street parking outside the property for staff cars and good public transport links.
If you have any further questions or would like to discuss the role in more detail, please call Leanne on 07342 038 724.
