Are you feeling fulfilled in your current role? Do you feel like you’re making a difference? We all want to go to work and feel valued. We all deserve a supportive team and an organisation that cares about us and our development. Dimensions offers just that!

We currently have a rare opportunity available to join a stable, friendly, and supportive team in the S11 area of Sheffield, supporting three fabulous people with learning disabilities and autism to live their lives exactly how they want. They are between 50 and 70 years old and they have different needs, abilities, and interests, so no day is ever the same.

Our person-centred focus means everyone is supported to engage in the activities, hobbies and interests that are important to them. One of the lady’s loves going to watch musicals and playing hide and seek with her toys, the other lady enjoys going for long drives with the windows down and loves going over the speed bumps, and the gentleman we support loves sitting by the speakers listening to his favourite music.

They each live in their own bungalows next door to each other and will frequently pop in and visit each other. Their bungalows are set in a beautiful semi-rural setting overlooking the Bradfield Valley that’s still within easy access of the city.

Day to day they need varying levels of support with personal care, meal preparation, medication administration and household tasks such as cooking, cleaning and laundry. One of the lady’s uses a wheelchair outside of her home so there are some elements of manual handling involved.

No previous experience is necessary as we’ll provide full training. We’re open to you working on a full-time or part-time contract. The people we support receive funding for their own vehicles so it’s essential that you have a full UK driving licence.

Shifts are 7am – 2:30pm and then 2:30pm – 10pm or if you’re doing the sleep-in shifts then it’s 2:30pm - 7am the following morning, with the sleep in shift included from 11pm – 7am.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss the role in more detail, please call Sue on 07584 205 319.
