At Dimensions, we know for those who've never worked in adult care, the thought of becoming a Support Worker can make people feel very nervous... But we believe that if a job makes you feel this way, then deep down, you know it's a job worth doing. It just means you care deeply about doing a great job and making a positive impact, but you just need a little push and a little support to take the leap and give it a go. And with us, we'll support you to become the best version of yourself whilst becoming an amazing support worker! Honestly, you'll find no other role more personally fulfilling and professionally rewarding than becoming a Support Worker with Dimensions.
The Role
We're looking to recruit three full-time support workers to join our close-knit team to help support four elderly people with learning disabilities and/or autism in Oxford. The home they share is peaceful and very laidback; and whilst the people we support are aged 60+, they maintain active lifestyles and are hardly ever in! Whilst each person has their own hobbies, ambitions, and goals, they all love going away on day trips, enjoying meals out, and keeping busy with different activities.
You'll be expected to encourage and empower the people we support in Oxford so that they may live their best lives - the lives that they choose to live. You'll achieve this by being actively and enthusiastically engaged in every aspect of their daily lives; as well as respectfully providing personal care and mobility assistance when required. You'll also help to administer medications and safeguard the people we support so that they are always comfortable, happy, and in a safe and sanitary environment.
For further information about the role, the shifts available, and the people we support, please contact Carl Boatman on carl.boatman@dimensions-uk.org
