At Dimensions, we're looking to recruit several aspiring, courageous, and compassionate people who are sincere about providing care to join our close-knit team in Banbury. Since 1976, our organisation has offered pioneering, life-changing support to adults with learning disabilities and/or autism in their own homes all across the UK, and this award-winning level of care also extends to those who do the supporting as well. So, with us, yourlife will change for the better too because that's what we do: prove that life can get better.

The role - Not your typical "9-5"

As a Dimensions Support Worker, you'll work in close partnership with your new colleagues to support several adults with learning disabilities and/or autism aged between 37 - 75 to live their best lives - the lives that they choose to live.

You'll achieve this by:

  • Being actively and enthusiastically engaged in every aspect of their daily lives. You'll ensure that they're encouraged, empowered, and supported so that they can realise their aspirations and enjoy a richer, more fulfilling and comfortable life.
  • During waking night shifts ensuring that all safety and comfort checks are completed, particularly as some of those we support have epilepsy and cerebral palsy.
  • Respectfully provide full personal care, meal prep. support (including PEG feeding), and mobility assistance when required.
  • Safeguarding those we support from risk and harm; ensuring that they are always happy and comfortable, and in a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Keeping up-to-date records and communicating openly and honestly with your colleagues.

Each person we support in this peaceful, easy-to-find, easy-to-navigate housing estate (located near a wide range of local amenities and excellent transport links) has their own bespoke support plan that respects and celebrates their individuality and their personal wants and needs. They each have their own hobbies, aspirations and dreams, but they would all value someone joining them who has a valid driver's license as it means they'll be able to enjoy getting out and about more in their mobility vehicle.

For more information about these full-time roles, the shifts we offer, and for more details about the people we support in Banbury, please contact Shelley Devitt (

So, ready to make a real difference to your life and the lives of those with learning disabilities and/or autism in your local community? Apply now to become a Dimensions Support Worker!
