"Jamie" is a young gentleman who lives in Bristol, and he would like to welcome a compassionate, patient, and bubbly person into their home who can support him in realising his ambitions, and leading a richer, more fulfilling life - his best life. "Jamie" is an avid rail fan; passionate swimmer, and a lover of the great outdoors, so, if you're looking to make a positive impact in "Jamie's" life and have a more meaningful - and interesting - job than the typical "9-5", then we'd love for you to apply to become "Jamie's" full-time Support Worker based in Bristol.
Meet "Jamie"
"Jamie" resides in the exciting and bustling city of Bristol. He is an enthusiastic swimmer and thoroughly enjoys getting out and about in nature (he has a work placement on a farm and loves going on bike rides). "Jamie" is also a huge railway buff but finds using public transport daunting, so, he's looking for a likeminded individual (someone whom he can bond with over his hobbies - in particular, swimming) who has a driving license to welcome into his life and to use his mobility vehicle to support him in making amazing memories and achieving his goals. "Jamie" is young and active, and does not require personal care or mobility assistance, but he will need support in preparing healthy meals.
The Role
As "Jamie's" support worker, you'll help empower and encourage him to lead the life of his choosing by being actively and enthusiastically engaged in every aspect of his day - and night. Therefore, as well as day shifts, you will also be expected to commit to working some nights (sleep-ins), and every other weekend. You'll also be expected to safeguard him from risk and harm (ensuring that he is always happy and comfortable, and that the environment he's in is safe and sanitary), and write/maintain records (i.e. observation reports, risk assessments, etc.)
