Support Worker

About the Role 

Located around 6-miles north west of Swansea city centre live five amazing people (four gentlemen and one lady aged 22 - 40), who are looking to welcome into their home several warm-hearted, patient, upbeat, and inspiring individuals to support them in living their best lives - the lives that they choose to live. It is an essential requirement of this position to hold a full, manual UK drivers license as the people we support have access to their own mobility vehicle and they love nothing more than getting out and about as often as they can to help them live richer, more fulfilling lives. In particular, they enjoy attending day centres, cycling, walking, and a spot of fishing. 

By working in partnership with your new colleagues and the families of those we support, you'll be expected to:

• Be actively and enthusiastically engaged in every aspect of their day (and nights!). You'll achieve this by being involved in their hobbies; accompanying them to appointments and joining them with running errands, encouraging and empowering them to try new things, and support them with their finances, etc. 
• Respectfully provide personal care, mobility assistance, and meal prep/PEG feeding support.
• Safeguard the people we support by ensuring they're always content and comfortable, and that the environments they're in are clean and sanitary, and free from risks
• Write and maintain written records (i.e. observation logs, risks assessments, financial records, etc.)
