Support Worker
Location: Telford (TF4)
Pay rate: £10.90 per hour
Full time (37.5 hours) & Part time hours available
Are you passionate about promoting independence and supporting people? Dimensions is proud to be one of very few social care organisations that are accredited by the Great Places To Work programme in 2023 – now 5 years in a row!
We are looking to recruit confident and energetic Support Workers on a full or part time basis to join our team and support our lovely residents who each live in their own individual apartment. Currently 13 of the 14 apartments are occupied and we expect our last resident to move in before the end of the year. We also have a lovely communal space including an office, lounge, and kitchen where our residents enjoy spending time with each other having cooking sessions and doing arts and crafts. The men and women we support range in age from 18 to their mid 50’s and have learning disability, autism, and some mental health needs – however, they are all very able and full personal care is not a requirement for this role. The people we support can complete their personal care and most other tasks including managing their money mainly with prompting. We have a very active bunch who love going to the cinema, shopping, days out to the seaside and Alton Towers, spending time in their garden or with family, having parties at their home, and will hope you share some of their wide range of interests!
Shifts: 7:30am-3pm (3 staff members), 3pm-10:30pm (4 staff members) – no lone working, no sleep-ins or waking nights as we have a fully staffed, dedicated waking night team. We are looking for people with flexibility to work on a rota basis that includes a combination of weekdays and weekends.
