Are you looking for a job where you can make a real difference in your local community? Dimensions is currently seeking a Female Support Worker to empower the independence of one lady with Learning Disabilities and Epilepsy in her home in the Kinson area of Bournemouth.

Dimensions Support Workers do not need prior experience in Health Care Assistant or Social Care roles.

We are looking for a Part-time Female Support Worker who is happy to work 15 hours per week plus 1 sleep in shift a week. There any also be the opportunity to pick up overtime. We can offer a pay rate of £12.19 per hour (sleep-in shifts are paid at an allowance of £45).

The lady we support, who is in her 50’s, enjoys doing a wide range of things both at home and in the local area. The things Female Support Workers may take part in with her include:

  • Trips out to local cafes for tea and cake
  • Visiting Upton Country Park
  • Walks at local beaches (Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch all get a look in)
  • Listening to music – she loves her support workers introducing her to new bands
  • Soaking up rays in the garden – weather permitting
  • Regular visits with family which often include trips to McDonalds for McFlurry’s

It would be preferable for Female Support Workers to be drivers (although you don’t need access to your own vehicle) as this lady has her own car she likes to be taken out in.

Although this lady doesn’t communicate using words, she can understand you and will take you around the house to show you what she wants. She also communicates using gestures and body language. If you have never communicated with someone in this way before, don’t worry as Dimensions provide Female Support Workers with full training.

Benefits for Female Support Workers choosing to work with Dimensions include:

  • We offer a salary advance scheme where you can access up to 50% of the money you've earned before payday
  • 30 days annual leave pro rata with the option to buy and sell leave
