The Role

Do you enjoy outdoor activities, exploring local walking routes, or visiting the beautiful coastline of England? Perhaps you are a music or film enthusiast who loves going to the cinema. If so, this role could be perfect for you.

Step into a rewarding role, where you'll support three gentlemen, aged 20-30, in their supported living home. They rely on gestures and cues rather than words to communicate, making attentive communication crucial to understanding their needs and anxieties.

You'll provide full support with personal care, dressing, bathing, and household tasks such as cooking, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Shifts involve a dedicated team of 3-4 staff members providing 1:1 support, which increases to 2:1 when being part of and present in their local community.

We're looking for someone compassionate and patient, ready to facilitate outings while fostering a supportive environment. Comprehensive training, including medication support, will be provided, offering opportunities for personal and professional growth in this role.

Who We Are Looking For

There is no 'typical' support worker at Dimensions. Our team includes school leavers, career changers, experienced support workers, and those at the end of different careers who want to give back to their community. We value diversity and recruit based on shared values and an eagerness to learn.

Work/Life Balance

We understand the importance of a work/life balance. You will receive your rota at least four weeks in advance, with shift patterns from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm or 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, including sleep-ins and waking nights.

Apply Now

Interested in joining us? Apply online, and we will be in touch for a chat. Experience is welcomed but not essential as we provide full specialist training and support. All we require is an open mind, shared values, and a willingness to learn.
