About the person we support:

You will be supporting a gentleman in his 20s who lives in his own supported living home. He is looking for support workers to join his team to support him to live his best life.

He is a cheeky chap who is looking for calm, friendly and resilient people who will encourage him and be involved in the hobbies and interests he likes and gain in confidence in his own independence. He has autism and has 2-1 support during the day and 1-1 support in the evening.

Things he loves to do

  • Going out for drives, so FULL UK driving license essential
  • Going for nice walks, in open spaces
  • Films and music
  • He really enjoys sensory, water play and messy play

He likes to spend time with his family and will have visits from his mum and wider family and friends and he will have skype calls with his dad, where they will play games.

What will I be doing? 

  • You will need to provide emotional reassurance when experiencing behaviours of distress – full positive behaviour support training is provided but previous experience is essential.
  • Supporting with full personal care
  • Encourage independence within his own home
  • You will be involved in supporting with medication, meal preparation, shopping, domestic tasks such as cooking, cleaning and laundry

What shifts are required:

Long days, including sleep in 9am - 9am with sleep (10pm - 7am)

Days - 6-8 hours flexible depending on activities
We’re looking for people with flexibility to work on a rota basis that includes a combination of shifts, weekdays and weekends
Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance to support a healthy work life balance - something we're very passionate about!
