Waking Night Support Worker

Location: TF2 – Telford (Just an 8 min Drive from Oakengates Train Station) 
Hours: 27 Hours Per Week (Part Time)
Wake Nights Shifts: 3 shifts per week (10:30pm–7:30am)
Pay Rate: £12.40 per hour

We’re seeking a Support Worker to provide overnight support to a gentleman in his 60s with mild learning disabilities and occasional behaviours of distress. If you’re calm, patient, and enjoy working independently during quieter hours, this could be the perfect fit.

You’ll be supporting a man who lives in his own home and enjoys:

• Quiet evenings and occasional bursts of activity

• A calm, respectful approach from those around him

He’s a bit of a night owl, so your presence during wake nights helps ensure he feels safe, supported, and settled.

• Support Type: 1:1, lone working

• Shift Pattern:

  • Wake Nights: 10:30pm–7:30am (3 shifts per week)

• Support Needs:

  • Personal care
  • Medication administration
  • No hoist or wheelchair use
  • No support in eating (SALT plan in place)
  • No meal prep required

Essential Qualities:

• Calm, patient, and laid-back personality
• Comfortable working independently overnight
• Experience with behaviours of distress (or transferable skills)
• Person-centred approach to care
• Reliable and consistent presence
