About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and experienced management team across Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill, with responsibility for a locality delivering over 1,000 support hours each week. As an Assistant Locality Manager, you'll work closely alongside the Locality Manager to ensure people receive safe, high-quality, person-centred support that enables them to live fulfilling and ambitious lives.This is a full off-rota leadership role, giving you the opportunity to focus on developing teams, maintaining quality standards and driving service improvements, while remaining closely connected to the people we support and the colleagues delivering support every day. Working across our Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill localities, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day management of homes, supporting the Locality Manager with operational leadership, compliance, quality assurance and people management.

You'll also deputise for the Locality Manager during periods of annual leave, representing the locality at management meetings and taking the lead on operational decision making when required. As part of the wider management team, you'll participate in the on-call rota, typically covering one week at a time a few times each quarter, and you'll occasionally undertake evening, weekend or night visits to complete observations and quality monitoring.
