Your wellbeing matters. From health support to flexible working, we provide the tools and culture to stay balanced, healthy, and at your best, both inside and outside of work.

Thanks to our amazing teams, Dimensions Group has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for 2026 — our eighth consecutive year of recognition.

About the role

  • Female Waking Night Support Worker
  • 26.25 hours per week (9:30pm–8:00am)
  • Reedham, Norwich, NR13

We are recruiting a Female Waking Night Support Worker to support three wonderful women who live together in a supported-living bungalow in Reedham. They are aged between their 30s and 70s and communicate through gestures, sounds, expressions, and smiles. They flourish in a calm, consistent environment and require a patient, observant and reassuring presence.

This is a waking night role where you will remain awake throughout the shift to ensure safety, comfort, and a peaceful overnight routine. During waking night shifts, your responsibilities will include:

  • Light household tasks such as sweeping and mopping floors, kitchen and bathroom cleaning.
  • Personal care and dignified overnight support.
  • Assisting if anyone wakes during the night.
  • Supporting bedtime routines.
  • Monitoring wellbeing throughout the night.

Shift pattern will be working 9:30pm–8:00am 3 nights one week, 2 nights the next including every other weekend. Total hours per fortnight: 52.5 hours (26.25 per week).

Because this is a waking nights position, you must complete your Care Certificate first, which means you will start on day shifts (earlies, lates, long days) for up to 12 weeks, working your contracted 26.25 hours per week. Once signed off, you will move onto nights and work lone-working shifts.

The women you’ll support don’t use words to communicate, and some may present behaviours that challenge, experience is preferred, and a good understanding of person-centred, calm, positive support is beneficial.

A driving licence is not required; however, the home is in a rural location with limited public transport. Please consider carefully how you would travel to and from Reedham for 9:30pm starts and 8:00am finishes.

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is calm, patient, attentive and values-driven.
  • Can offer reassurance in a quiet, low-stimulus environment.
  • Is willing to complete the Care Certificate on day shifts before beginning waking nights
