About the role

  • Female Support Worker
  • Part-time - 20 hours or 25.5 hours per week available
  • Full UK driving licence (must be able to drive an automatic)

We are welcoming two new ladies moving into this home at the end of May, which has created two new part-time Female Support Worker opportunities. You’ll be joining a settled home supporting five people in total (three women and two men) ranging in age from their late 40s to early 70s. The people we support have varied needs, and your role will include:

  • Supporting individuals who use wheelchairs and assisting with mobility.
  • Helping people enjoy their daily routines — shopping, walks, trips out, coffee, and meals out.
  • Encouraging independence.
  • Full support with personal care.
  • Supporting with medication.
  • Driving the vehicles of the people we support to take people to and from their interests.

Shifts are varied and include 7.5-hour shifts, early shifts, late shifts, long days, wake nights and sleep-ins, offering a good mix of hours.

About you

You’ll be someone who is caring, patient and enjoys building warm, trusting relationships. You don’t need previous experience — just the right values and a genuine passion for supporting people to live the life they choose.

You will also need:

  • A Full UK driving licence (able to drive an automatic vehicle).
  • The ability to provide personal care with dignity and respect.
  • Reliability, good communication skills and a positive, team-focused approach.
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts including sleep-ins, weekends and nights.
