About the role

- Full time and part time hours considered (including wake night vacancies)
We are recruiting an experienced female Support Workers to join our specialist complex supported living home in Edgware, London, earning £14.01 per hour. We are specifically seeking someone with proven, hands-on experience in complex support environments. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, including day shifts and waking night contracts. Typical shifts are 7:00am–2:30pm, 2:15pm–9:45pm, and 9:45pm–7:15am.
This is a highly specialist position, providing 2:1 support to a woman in her early 30s who lives independently in her own home. To be successful, you must have demonstrable experience supporting individuals who present with behaviours of distress, and confidence in managing complex, emotionally demanding situations.
You will play a key role in helping her feel safe, understood, and empowered, supporting daily routines such as personal care, meal preparation, and engagement. A calm, resilient, and emotionally intelligent approach is essential, alongside the ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
You will work within a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework and receive specialist training as part of your induction. However, this role requires someone who can already bring consistency, professionalism, and confidence into a complex support setting, using a person-centred and trauma-informed approach at all times.
About you
- Demonstrable experience supporting people with behaviours of distress in a specialist or complex setting.
- Experience working with people with learning disabilities and autism.
- Confident communicator, including using alternative communication methods.
- Comfortable with personal care, medication administration, record keeping, and flexible shift working.
