About Dimensions

At Dimensions, work is more than a job, it’s a chance to make everyday matter. You’ll join a team built on respect, courage, and partnership, where your ideas are valued and your wellbeing comes first. Recognised as a Great Place to Work for eight years, we’ll support you with training and career development so you can thrive. Together, we’ll create opportunities for people to live life their way and help you grow in ways that matter to you.

About the role

  • Female Support Worker
  • x2 Part time - 30 Hour per week contracts available
  • Stanway, Colchester (CO3)
  • A full UK driving licence is essential (manual essential).

If you’re looking for a role that’s fun, energetic, and truly rewarding, this could be the perfect fit.

We’re looking for a Female Support Worker to join a lively supported living home in Stanway, Colchester, supporting two women and one man to live independent, fulfilling lives. This is a social home where there’s always something going on.

Life here is busy and full of variety. One day you might be baking in the kitchen, getting creative with arts and crafts, or heading out swimming, and the next you could be off to the cinema, bowling, or even a dance class. You’ll be part of making these moments happen, bringing ideas to life and ensuring every day is enjoyable.

Each person has their own goals and routines. One person attends college and is working towards employment, another already has a job and needs support getting to and from work, while the third enjoys regular social interests at a local community centre. You’ll play a key role in supporting these ambitions and celebrating every success along the way.

Alongside the fun and social side, you’ll also provide practical support with daily living. This includes supporting with personal care for the two women, assisting with mobility, and administering medication.

Communication is an important part of the role. One person uses Makaton (full training will be provided), and you’ll follow guidance from Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) plans to support safe eating and drinking. You’ll also help with cooking, shopping, meal planning, and keeping the home running smoothly.

About you

You don’t need experience, just the right attitude and a willingness to learn. You’ll be caring, reliable, and ready to present new ideas in fun and exciting ways. Patience, clear communication, and flexibility are essential, along with a full UK driving licence. If you’re passionate about making a real difference and helping people live life their way, we’d love to hear from you.
