– Current Support Worker

If you're someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships, encouraging independence and bringing positivity to every day, this could be the perfect role for you.

About the role

We're looking for a compassionate and engaging Female Support Worker to support a wonderful lady in her 60s who lives in her own home in Bath (BA2).

She has a learning disability and epilepsy and enjoys making the most of life. She loves eating out, having her nails done, dressing up, writing poetry and spending time talking about her beloved cat, Poppet. She also enjoys theatre trips, TV, DVDs and attending her day centre each week.

Working as part of a 2:1 support team, you'll help her maintain her independence, confidence and wellbeing while supporting her daily routines. Your role will include personal care, medication administration, emotional support and encouraging participation in activities she enjoys.

Typical shifts include:

  • 9:00am – 10:00pm
  • Long day and sleep-in: 9:00am – 9:00am (following day)
  • Sleep-in shifts (paid at £50 per sleep-in)

Rotas are provided in advance to support a healthy work–life balance.

About you

You'll be a great fit if you're:

  • Positive, patient and compassionate
  • Confident supporting people with changing needs
  • Calm and adaptable in your approach
  • A strong team player who builds positive relationships
  • Able to encourage independence and confidence
  • A manual driver with a full UK driving licence

Experience supporting epilepsy or behaviours of distress is helpful but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
