– Current Support Worker

If you're looking for a role where you can build meaningful relationships, make a genuine difference and support people in a warm, homely environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

About the role

We're looking for a patient, compassionate and adaptable Female Support Worker to join our team in Malmesbury (SN16), supporting a brother and sister in their 50s with Down's syndrome and learning disabilities.

This is a highly personalised 1:1 support service, where understanding each person's individuality is key. The lady is outgoing, vibrant and loves holidays, especially trips to Butlin's. Her brother prefers quieter environments, enjoys trains and public transport, and thrives with calm, consistent support. One of his most memorable experiences was a holiday focused around his love of steam trains.

You'll support with personal care, medication, meal preparation and healthy eating. The gentleman also requires support with diet management and portion control. Some behaviours of distress may occur, but full training and ongoing support will be provided.

This is a role where small moments, patience and genuine connection can make a huge difference.

About you

You'll be a great fit if you're:

  • Calm, patient and reassuring
  • Able to adapt your approach to different personalities and needs
  • Friendly, respectful and person-centred
  • Confident building trusting relationships
  • Firm but fair when supporting routines and boundaries
  • Comfortable supporting personal care and medication
  • Someone who enjoys creating a warm, homely atmosphere
  • A driver with a full UK licence (auto-friendly)

Experience is helpful but not essential — we'll provide all the training and support you need to succeed.

Rewards that make a difference

  • A competitive payrate with uplift for overtime you chose to work
  • Flexible shift patterns to suit your needs
  • 30 days paid Annual Leave (including public holidays – pro rata)
  • Opportunities for career progression
