– Current Support Worker

If you're someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships, encouraging independence and bringing positivity to every day, this could be the perfect role for you.

About the role

We're looking for a compassionate and engaging Female Support Worker to support a lady in her 60s who lives in her own home in Bath (BA2).

She has a learning disability and epilepsy and enjoys living a full and active life. She loves eating out, having her nails done, dressing up, writing poetry, attending theatre shows and spending time talking about her beloved cat, Poppet. She also enjoys TV, DVDs and attending her day centre each week.

Working as part of a dedicated 2:1 support team, you'll support her to maintain her independence, confidence and wellbeing while helping her take part in the activities she enjoys most.

Support includes:

  • Personal care and daily living support
  • Medication administration and epilepsy support
  • Emotional support and reassurance
  • Supporting community activities and appointments
  • Promoting independence and confidence
  • Building positive relationships and encouraging choice

Shifts:

  • 9:00am – 10:00pm
  • Long day with sleep-in: 9:00am – 9:00am (following day)
  • Sleep-in shifts (£50 per sleep-in)

Rotas are provided in advance to support a healthy work-life balance.

About you

You'll be a great fit if you're:

  • Positive, patient and compassionate
  • Calm, adaptable and person-centred
  • Confident supporting people with changing needs
  • A strong team player who builds positive relationships
  • Able to encourage independence and confidence
  • A reliable communicator with a positive outlook
  • A manual driver with a full UK driving licence

Experience supporting epilepsy or behaviours of distress is helpful but not essential — we'll provide all the training and support you need to succeed.

Rewards that make a difference

  • A competitive payrate with uplift for overtime you chose to work
  • Flexible shift patterns to suit your needs
  • 30 days paid Annual Leave (including public holidays – pro rata)
  • Opportunities for career progression
  • Supported ‘Learn to Drive’ scheme (up to 30 driving lessons, 1 theory/practical test - all paid for by us)
  • We offer a salary advance scheme where you can access up to 50% of the money you've earned before payday.
  • High Street Discounts – Retail and Entertainment (supermarkets, hospitality, pubs, cinema etc.)
