About the role

We're looking for a patient, adaptable and positive Female Support Worker to join our teams in Shrewsbury (SY2).

This unique role involves supporting people across several services located within a two-minute walk of each other, giving you variety while still allowing you to develop strong, consistent relationships with the people you support.

You'll support four adults in their 30s with a range of needs including:

  • Learning disabilities
  • Autism
  • Down's syndrome
  • Cerebral palsy

Support includes:

  • 1:1 personalised support
  • Personal care for one individual
  • Mobility support, including an electric wheelchair user
  • Medication administration
  • Monitoring dysphagia support plans
  • Promoting independence and daily living skills

The people we support enjoy:

  • Dance sessions and music
  • Football and sports village activities
  • Community groups and social outings
  • Spending time with friends and family
  • Expressing their individuality and personal interests

Families are highly involved in supporting the people who live here, helping to create a warm and welcoming environment where positive relationships are highly valued.

Shifts:

  • 8:00am – 4:00pm
  • 4:00pm – 10:00pm
  • Long days: 8:00am – 10:00pm
  • Sleep-ins: 10:00pm – 8:00am (£50 paid to sleep)

Rotas are provided in advance to support a healthy work-life balance.
