About the role
We're looking for a Female Support Worker to join our friendly team in the LN6 area of Lincoln, supporting two ladies and two gentlemen in their own home. This is a varied role where you'll help people live fulfilling, independent lives while building positive relationships and supporting them to achieve the things that matter most to them.
The people we support enjoy spending time in their local town and keeping active. Their interests include swimming, horse riding, social clubs, shopping, visiting family and friends, and enjoying days out. You'll play an important part in helping them take part in these interests, whilst supporting them to develop skills, maintain their independence, and live the lives they choose.
As a Support Worker, you'll provide personalised support with all aspects of everyday life, including personal care, administering medication, attending appointments, meal preparation, household tasks, and supporting people to access their community. No two days are the same, and you'll be encouraged to recognise and celebrate what people can do for themselves while helping them achieve their goals and aspirations.
We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, good communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting others. A full UK driving licence is essential, as the people we support have their own mobility vehicles and regularly enjoy getting out and about.
Shift: This role is for 20-25 hours per week and involves a mixture of morning, afternoon, mid, late and waking night shifts, including every other weekend.
About you
You don't need previous experience in care to be successful in this role, but you will need to be compassionate, patient, and genuinely committed to supporting people to live fulfilling and independent lives. We are looking for someone who enjoys building positive relationships, can communicate confidently, and is passionate about helping others achieve their goals.
You'll be reliable, flexible, and happy to work as part of a team, while also being able to use your own initiative when supporting people in their day-to-day lives. As the people we support enjoy a busy and active lifestyle, you'll be someone who enjoys getting out into the community and encouraging others to participate in activities and experiences.
A full UK driving licence is essential, as you will be driving the people we support in their own mobility vehicles. You should also be comfortable providing personal care, administering medication, and supporting with a range of daily living tasks.
Most importantly, you'll share our values and be committed to making a positive difference every day. Training and ongoing support will be provided to help you develop your skills and confidence in the role.
