About the role

Are you someone who enjoys variety, thrives in different environments and loves meeting new people? If so, our Floating Support Worker role could be the perfect opportunity for you.

We're looking for flexible and confident Support Workers to provide cover across services throughout Worcester and the surrounding areas, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex support needs.

No two days are the same in this role. You'll work across a variety of services, building meaningful relationships while gaining experience supporting people with different personalities, interests and support requirements.

Reporting to the Resource Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring people continue to receive high-quality, person-centred support whenever and wherever it's needed.

  • Provide essential support to ensure continuity of care
  • Enjoy a role where every week can look different

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being adaptable and wants to expand their knowledge and experience within social care.

What you will be doing

  • Supporting hobbies, interests and social activities
  • Building positive, trusting relationships
  • Following support plans and ensuring high standards of care

Flexibility and travel

This role requires a high level of flexibility, including:

  • Travelling across Worcester and the surrounding areas
  • Working a range of shift patterns
  • Supporting weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins where required

Shift patterns and service placements will be discussed throughout the recruitment process and matched wherever possible to your availability and contracted hours.

Because you'll be working across multiple locations, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.

You'll be a great fit if you are:

  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Confident working in different environments
  • Passionate about delivering great support
  • Reliable, organised and self-motivated
  • A strong communicator
  • Comfortable building relationships quickly
  • Positive and proactive in your approach
  • Experienced within care and support environments (preferred but not essential)

Most importantly, you'll share our values and be committed to helping people lead fulfilling and independent lives.
