Lead Support Worker – Prince George House, Dorchester

Location: Poundbury, Dorchester (DT1)
Pay rate: £14.45 per hour + £50 per sleep-in
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (rota-based)

At Dimensions, we believe in supporting people to live the lives they choose. We are now looking for a passionate and motivated Lead Support Worker to join our team at Prince George House, supporting five gentlemen who live across four flats.

About the Role

Reporting to Registered Locality Manager, you will play a key leadership role within the service, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support is consistently delivered.

You will:

  • Lead by example to deliver outstanding support
  • Empower the people we support to live fulfilling, independent lives
  • Support colleagues through supervisions and 1-2-1s
  • Work collaboratively with the management team
  • Occasionally support with off-rota administrative tasks
  • Be flexible to work across other homes within the locality if required

Working Pattern:

Mixture of shifts:7:00am – 2:30pm & 2:30pm – 10:00pm

Sleep-in shifts required (£50 per night)
Flexibility is essential due to the needs of the service

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about person-centred support and inclusion
  • Leads with integrity, compassion, and accountability
  • Has experience supporting people with learning disabilities/autism (or similar)
  • Is confident supporting colleagues and stepping into a leadership role
  • Can work flexibly across services when needed
  • Lives in (or near) the West Dorset/Weymouth area
