About Dimensions
Bring your passion, leadership and heart to a role where your impact truly counts. As a Lead Support Worker, you’ll help others grow—both the people we support and the colleagues you’ll coach along the way. With the support of your locality management team, you’ll empower others to achieve meaningful goals, build independence and create positive change every single day.
Thanks to our amazing teams, Dimensions Group has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for 2026 — our eighth consecutive year of recognition.
About the role
You’ll be supporting two young men and one young woman, all in their late teens to mid-twenties, who share a warm and welcoming home in Weymouth. They each have learning disabilities and are looking for Support Workers who will empower them to live life their way — with confidence, choice, and plenty of fun.
As a Lead Support Worker, you’ll play an important role in ensuring the people we support receive high-quality, person-centred care in Weymouth. Working closely with your locality manager and assistant locality manager, you’ll be supported while also becoming a trusted guide for your colleagues. This role blends hands-on support with leadership, offering you the chance to make a meaningful difference every day.
Your work will be varied and rewarding. You’ll help people build independence, develop new skills and make choices that reflect the life they want to live. Using approaches such as Activate and Active Support, you’ll set meaningful goals and recognise the potential in everyday moments. You’ll support with daily routines—from personal care and medication to meal preparation, shopping and maintaining a comfortable home—ensuring each person feels respected and involved in their own support.
Alongside this, you’ll play a key part in coaching and mentoring support workers. You’ll share good practice, offer mindful feedback and help create a positive, inclusive team culture. You’ll contribute to reviews, support continuous improvement and work in line with Dimensions’ values, policies and regulatory standards. Building strong relationships with families, circles of support and colleagues will be central to your role..
If you’re someone who leads with compassion, enjoys empowering others and finds purpose in helping people live fulfilling lives, you’ll feel valued and inspired in this role.
