£12.81 per hour + £50 per sleep-in shift

About the roleWe’re looking for a calm, patient and confident Male Support Worker to join our team in Stafford (ST16), supporting a gentleman in his 30s with autism and learning disabilities.
This is a 1:1 lone-working role, ideal for someone who values building trust, respecting boundaries and supporting independence. You’ll play an important role in creating a safe, predictable and supportive environment where he can feel comfortable and in control of his day.
Who you will be supportingYou’ll be supporting a quiet and independent individual who values routine, space and consistency.
He enjoys:
- Vacuuming — even creating tasks just for the satisfaction of completing them
- Gardening and being outdoors
- Going for walks, where support is provided at a respectful distance
- Weekly train journeys to visit his parents in Wolverhampton
He takes time to build relationships, so patience, consistency and a calm approach are essential.
What you will be doingYou’ll provide personalised, person-centred support, including:
- Supporting daily routines and independence
- Preparing meals and supporting healthy routines
- Administering medication
- Using a calm, confident approach to behaviours of distress
- Maintaining a structured, predictable environment
- Supporting community activities such as walks and travel
- Building a steady, trusting relationship over time
This role requires confidence in lone working, with the ability to remain composed and responsive.
Shift patternsThis is a full-time role worked across:
- Long day + sleep-in: 7:00am – 7:00am (next day)
- Sleep-in: 10:00pm – 7:00am (£50 paid to sleep)
Rotas are provided in advance to support a healthy work–life balance.

Experience in Positive Behaviour Support or similar is preferred, but training will be provided.
