About Dimensions
At Dimensions, every day is an opportunity to make a real difference. Whether you're providing direct support or working behind the scenes, your contribution helps people live fulfilling, independent lives and creates meaningful moments that matter.
We're proud to be recognised as a Great Place to Work® for 2026, marking our eighth consecutive year of accreditation. This achievement reflects the dedication, compassion, and commitment of our colleagues across the organisation.
About the Role
We are looking for a caring, patient, and proactive Female Support Worker to join our team, supporting one lady in her mid-30s who has a learning disability and autism and lives in her own two-bedroom home.
She is an active and sociable person who enjoys:
- Attending arts and crafts classes
- Water play activities
- Visiting cafés for hot chocolates
- Going to discos and social events
- Spending time with friends
- Getting out and about in the community
She has limited verbal communication and benefits from support from someone who is understanding, observant, and able to build trusting relationships. You will play an important role in supporting her independence, wellbeing, and participation in the activities she enjoys.
This is primarily a lone working role, so you'll need to be confident, reliable, and comfortable working independently while maintaining a high standard of support.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Is compassionate, enthusiastic, and person-centred in their approach
- Enjoys supporting people to achieve their goals and live independently
- Is comfortable working alone and using their initiative
- Has good communication and observation skills
- Holds a full UK manual driving licence (essential)
Previous experience in support work is welcome but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Gender is considered a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010. In this context, "female" refers to the sex legally assigned to an individual.
