About Dimensions

At Dimensions, you’ll discover more than a job – you’ll find purpose, belonging, and the support to thrive. Guided by our values, we create an inclusive, rewarding environment where your voice matters, your wellbeing is prioritised, and your growth is celebrated. As a Waking Night Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in making every night safe, comfortable, and meaningful for the people we support.

Together, we’ll make a real difference – for them, and for you.

Dimensions is proud to be one of very few social care organisations that are accredited by the Great Places To Work programme in 2025– now 7 years in a row!

About the role?

You’ll be supporting a friendly man in his 50s who has learning disabilities and enjoys being around people. He doesn’t use many words, but he communicates clearly in his own ways — and you’ll get full training to understand and respond confidently. Your support will help him stay active, make choices, and enjoy the things that matter to him.

Every night, you’ll help create a safe, calm, and comforting environment for the people we support.
Your role will include:

  • Carrying out regular “keeping safe checks” to ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable.
  • Maintaining a clean, hygienic space so that the environment is welcoming and safe.
  • Recording important information using our easy-to-use IT systems – from support plans to health and safety logs – so we can provide the best care possible.
  • Creating a therapeutic, reassuring atmosphere that promotes wellbeing throughout the night.
  • Supporting people to enjoy their late evenings or nights in ways that matter to them.
  • Providing personal care when needed, always with dignity and respect.

About you?

  • Care deeply about people and want to help create safe, positive nights for those who need support.
  • Value inclusion and respect, treating everyone with dignity and kindness.
  • Stay calm and reassuring, even when things feel challenging – your presence makes a difference.
  • Enjoy working independently but also feel part of a team that shares the same purpose.
  • Are comfortable using technology to keep accurate records and follow support plans.
  • Can provide personal care when needed, always with empathy and understanding.
  • Bring flexibility and reliability, knowing that your role is essential to someone’s wellbeing.
