About the RoleYou will be supporting a friendly and sociable gentleman who lives in his own bungalow in Parkstone. He enjoys a range of activities, including watching aeroplanes, going on long walks, completing puzzles, and getting involved with household cleaning and tidying. He is also a real food enthusiast and enjoys maintaining a structured daily routine.
Having consistency and following his established routines is very important to him, as this helps him feel comfortable, confident, and happy. As part of your role, you'll provide overnight support, promote his independence, and ensure he feels safe and well-supported throughout the night.
Your role will include:
- Carrying out regular “keeping safe checks” to ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable.
- Maintaining a clean, hygienic space so that the environment is welcoming and safe.
- Recording important information using our easy-to-use IT systems – from support plans to health and safety logs – so we can provide the best care possible.
- Creating a therapeutic, reassuring atmosphere that promotes wellbeing throughout the night.
- Supporting people to enjoy their late evenings or nights in ways that matter to them.
- Providing personal care when needed, always with dignity and respect.
