About Dimensions

At Dimensions, every day is a chance to make a real difference. You’ll be part of a values-led, inclusive organisation where your work creates moments that matter, helping people live life their way. Recognised for sector-leading support and development, we’ll invest in you through training, coaching and career pathways so you can grow and thrive. If you’re looking for meaningful work, a supportive team, and the chance to be proud of what you do every day, you’ll find it here.

About the role

We are looking for a full time (37.5 hours per week) Support Worker, who can support two gentlemen in their own homes across Buxton and Melton Constable. Both homes provide 24-hour support, with a mix of 2:1 daytime support and sleep-in shifts.

  • Melton Constable: A gentleman in his 40s who loves music, playing instruments (organ and guitar), swimming, sports, and trips to theme parks and shows. He enjoys holidays and meals out and would love someone who shares his enthusiasm for exploring.
  • Buxton: Life with him is centred around going for drives in his car and walking outdoors, and these are the moments where he feels most content. He is able to do many things independently, but he may need encouragement or support with personal care and cooking. He communicates through gestures and objects of reference rather than words, and he builds unique relationships with those who support him. He requires support with behaviours of distress and benefits from patient, understanding staff. Full training, including PBS, will be provided.

Shift patterns include earlies, lates, long days, and sleep-ins, with flexibility required for weekends and bank holidays. A separate staff bedroom is available for overnight stays.

About you

You bring empathy, reliability and a calm, solution-focused approach. You’re comfortable with personal care, can follow support plans, and communicate clearly. Whether you’re experienced or new to social care, we’ll equip you with the skills to succeed—through induction, PBS training, and ongoing development (including Dimensions Academy and Aspire). Above all, you’re enthusiastic and motivated to help people live ordinary, active lives in their community.

A manual driving licence and access to a car are essential for both homes.
