Support Worker

At Dimensions, you can bring your whole self to work – and be celebrated for it. You’ll support autistic people and adults with learning disabilities to live more independently, building confidence and joy in everyday life.
We’ll support you too, with a workplace that values wellbeing, listens to every voice, and offers real opportunities to grow through Aspire and Dimensions Academy. Recognised as a Great Place to Work for seven years running, this is more than a job – it’s a place
where you can truly be you

You’ll be joining a friendly and lively team in a supported-living setting, home to five gents aged 40–60, living across four neighbouring flats. They’re a sociable group who enjoy a mix of independence, routine, and community activities.

Who You’ll Support

Two independent gents who manage most daily tasks with minimal support and three individuals who enjoy structured activities such as:

  • Day services
  • Swimming
  • Dance, arts and crafts
  • Pub lunches
  • Car boot sales
  • Home-based activities

Communication & Support Needs

  • Limited verbal communication — Makaton is used
  • Prompting with personal care rather than full assistance
  • Very mobile individuals who enjoy being out and about
  • Use of public transport is part of daily life and activities

What We’re Looking For

  • Compassionate, reliable full-time Support Workers
  • Comfortable working variety of shifts including long-days with 1 sleep-in per week. Sleep in payments are £50 per sleep in, which equates to an additional £2,400 per annum sleep in payments (based on 48 weeks of the year).
  • Someone sociable who enjoys community activities and supporting people to live fulfilling, independent lives

Dimensions is proud to be one of very few social care organisations that are accredited by the Great Places To Work programme in 2026 – now 6 years in a row!

Applications will be shortlisted on receipt and interviews will be held until the posts are filled.
