Support Worker

About Dimensions

At Dimensions, you can bring your whole self to work – and be celebrated for it. You’ll support autistic people and adults with learning disabilities to live more independently, building confidence and joy in everyday life. We’ll support you too, with a workplace that values wellbeing, listens to every voice, and offers real opportunities to grow through Aspire and Dimensions Academy. Recognised as a Great Place to Work for seven years running, this is more than a job – it’s a place where you can truly be you.

About the role

  • Support Worker – 2 x Part-Time Roles (20 Hours Each)
  • Metheringham, Lincoln
  • Full UK Manual or Automatic Licence (own car not essential)
  • Shifts: Days with waking nights and every other weekend

You’ll be supporting two ladies and two gentlemen in their 50s and 60s who live together in a supported living home in Metheringham. This role blends 1:1 hours, daytime support, and occasional waking nights, with your rota shaped around the needs and routines of the people you support.

Across the home, support includes full personal care for three people, stoma care for one person, epilepsy support, and safe manual handling such as assisting with wheelchairs outside the house. You’ll also prepare meals for the household and follow SALT guidance to support safe eating.

This is a home full of personality and varied interests: cinema trips, meals out, visits to the pub, theatre, live concerts, watching TV, attending Slimming World, holidays, and lots of music — including church and organ music for one gentleman who loves the royal family and their celebrations. You’ll also support family relationships and community engagement, helping each person maintain independence and joy in their day-to-day life.

Although some shifts involve lone working, especially at night, you’ll be part of a friendly team who value communication, consistency, and teamwork.

About you

Experience isn’t needed; your values are what matter most. Kindness, reliability, patience, and a genuine desire to support people to live full and connected lives are the qualities we’re looking for.

You’ll be confident working both independently and as part of a team, and happy to follow detailed support plans involving personal care, health needs, and communication styles.

A full UK manual or automatic licence is required, as each person we support has their own car. You don’t need your own vehicle, but you must be able to get to the home reliably due to extremely limited public transport.
