Support Worker – Portsmouth (PO1 & PO2)

Part-time | 22.5 hours per week | Must work 2 of 3 weekends

Why Dimensions

We look after our teams with benefits that support your wellbeing, financial security, and work–life balance. When you join us, you’re joining a workplace that genuinely values you. If you’re looking for a role where every shift makes a real difference, you’ll feel right at home with Dimensions. Our teams are the heart of everything we do — and thanks to them, we’ve been recognised as a Great Place to Work for the eighth year running.

About the Role

You’ll be supporting adults with severe learning disabilities, a range of health needs, and physical disabilities across three welcoming homes in Portsmouth. No two days are the same — you’ll be helping people live full, meaningful lives at home and in the community.

Your shifts will include a mix of:

  • Split shifts: 06:30–09:00 + 15:30–22:00 (once a week)
  • Day shifts: 07:00–14:30, 14:00–21:30, 08:30–16:00

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing personal care with dignity and respect
  • Supporting people to access the community — including travelling by bus and train
  • Using wheelchairs safely and confidently
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with the people you support

About You

You don’t need previous experience — just compassion, reliability, and the willingness to learn. You’ll need to be comfortable with personal care, physically able to push wheelchairs, and happy to work two weekends out of three.
