About Dimensions
You can bring your whole self to work and be celebrated for it. Inclusion, respect, and practical support ensure you feel seen, supported, and valued, so you can thrive alongside the people we support.
Thanks to our amazing teams, Dimensions Group has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for 2026 — our eighth consecutive year of recognition.
About the role
We are looking for a Support Worker to join a lively and welcoming home supporting four men aged from their mid-20s to early 60s. You will be working as part of a wider, supportive team to support people to live fulfilling and active lives.
This is a busy, sociable home where no two days are the same. You will support three of the gentlemen with full personal care, while one is more independent. You will also assist with meal preparation, as staff cook for three of the people supported, while encouraging independence wherever possible. Some individuals follow safer eating guidelines, so attention to detail around food support is important. You’ll also support with medication, daily routines, and maintaining accurate records in line with care plans.
The people we support lead very active lives and enjoy a wide range of hobbies. From bowling, cinema trips and football to music clubs, Club 87 and regular holidays throughout the year, there is always something going on. At home, interests include films, music (especially Glee and Marvel), radios and cars – so a good sense of humour and energy is essential to keep up with this vibrant environment.
Shifts include a mix of early (8am–2pm), late (2pm–8pm), and longer days, as well as sleep-ins (10pm–7am). You will work a rolling two-week rota, including alternate weekends.
About you
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a great sense of humour and a genuine passion for supporting others. You will enjoy being part of a busy household and helping people stay active, engaged and connected to their community.
You will hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to drive mobility or lease vehicles. While you do not need your own car for work, you will need to be able to travel to the home location.
You will be comfortable supporting with personal care and daily living tasks, and you will approach your role with kindness, patience, and respect. Being reliable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team is essential, particularly as the role includes sleep-ins, varied shifts and weekend working.
Previous experience is not essential – we will provide full training – but a proactive and caring approach is key.
